About this Project:

The issue that my project addresses is how mental health can be taken for granted, such as not putting emphasis on a person's well being than they should be. In the world there are countries, children, all age groups, races, cultures, religions, that have their own circumstances regarding how mental health is flourished. This project is an app, an emergency app, so if anyone feels distressed they can quickly turn to this app to be reminded that they are not alone in this world. There are so many families who go through generational trauma, normalizing that hurting one another is “normal”, but really it is not. Our emotions are strong, even if we are numb, it is an emotion that stays with us for days, weeks, months and years. I figure that since people have their own busy lives, filled with endless exhaustion of facing their own emotions, I provided messages that would comfort them if I was feeling for each specific emotion. Along with school that can only have an immense focus on our grades, two digits, that dictate our self worth. People deserve to be heard because so many voices in the world can’t be heard due to corrupt governments, societal grounds, and how people perceive them.

I came up with this idea by using different color themes, such as peaceful settle, soft colors, for a calming presence, for the user to feel safe. My design process was to keep things clean organized, to present clarity among users. Thus, my project works by series of clicks and writing in, there's more options towards clicking and etc;. The buttons are prominent colors for the user to easily through the app

More About this Project

All these images, items, gif's, are made to provide an act of giving towards the user. To feel as if someone was giving something in order to maintain how they feel as humans with emotions that sky rocket everyday. The back buttons take you back to the original pages, and the buttons that are in the page of the certain emotion, it gives you a header mentioning ‘here's something for you <3’, it gives a sweet offering such as items of comfort.

Nice work! Very thoughtful and well organized. Design and colors do seem to be calming. Good idea to help validate feelings for users and provide some immediate guidance to help work through them. Have you considered an option to connect to a live person help line or a friend group also?

Tesheni. Really great work. You picked a very relevant and prevalent topic, and have done a good job building recommendations and being considerate with aesthetics at the same time. Love your project.
Mental health and reasons for the same is a very complex issue. You should look at making this app much more impactful not only by design, but the levels of support information you can provide. Additional would be to provide helpful links to neighbouring groups and medical professionals who can help an individual with their issues if personal help is needed.
Overall, very nice. All the best

Beautiful UX Design! I love the look of your app and the thought you put into your concept. It's a very good idea addressing a very important topic. I might recommend you think about the accessibility of the app - a little higher contrast on the buttons (the light blue on white might be hard for some people to read) and a slightly larger font in the text boxes could help, but otherwise, I think your design is really wonderful! Keep up the great work!
