About this Project:

Entertainment is a big part of a lot of people’s lives and emotions. However, a lot of people don’t know what entertainment to look for sometimes or what would be good for them. I decided to make an app that recommends netflix shows or movies to people based on their preferred maturity rating. There is a dropdown menu within the app allowing the user to pick from a variety of different ratings. Then, once a selection from the dropdown is clicked, the user clicks a recommend button. This button displays and moves through the recommendations for the user. This is the purpose of my app and how it works.

More About this Project

I am a huge fan of netflix and entertainment in general. This idea came to me one day when I was bored and wished I had an app recommender for shows, which makes this app personal and important to me.

Your idea to create an app that recommends Netflix shows or movies based on users' preferred maturity rating is a thoughtful approach to addressing the challenge of finding suitable entertainment. By providing a dropdown menu and a recommend button, you offer a user-friendly interface for individuals to discover content that aligns with their preferences.

This app has the potential to simplify the decision-making process and enhance users' enjoyment of their entertainment experiences.

Apart from maturity ratings, you could also consider adding filters like duration, language, release year, or IMDb ratings. This will help users refine their preferences and find content that matches their specific criteria.

Maybe integrate social media features that enable users to share their favorite recommendations or create watchlists. This will allow users to engage with their friends, discover new content through their network, and foster a sense of shared enthusiasm for entertainment.

Nice slide deck which explain very well the idea. With more feature in the application this could really help people to find things they would be interested to watch and discover. Nice Work.
