About this Project:

The issue that my project addresses is the problem of choosing a national park in the U.S. for you to visit. Since there are so many national parks for you to choose from, this app will select one for you giving a description about the specific park before you go. This idea came to me as a person I know visits national parks with their family a lot and has trouble picking the national park to go to. My project works by a randomizer having the name and description about every national park in the U.S. and from the click of a button presents a national park to go to. Additionally, it helps raise knowledge about these fun activities that you are able to do in the U.S.

Nice work, Adam! I think you have a strong app idea that will encourage people to visit national parks and explore the beautiful sights they offer. I would have loved to hear how visiting national parks could lead to users being informed about the conservation efforts that parks promote. I would like to suggest that you also think of the global impact that national parks have in different countries since they help protect different species. I really enjoyed learning about how important the national parks are to you and your family and I would even like to use this app one day. Keep up the great work!

Well done! I love the focus on getting people to visit national parks! I agree with your randomizer approach, since every national park is worth visiting! I wonder if you could add more features to the app, perhaps to integrate with Maps. That way, users can instantly start their trip to the park! Perhaps there's a way to add other features that keep them using the app: a checklist of all the parks they've been to, integration with social media to share their experiences at the parks, and a way to collect their interests so that the app could share more features of the parks in line with their interests.

Thank you for encouraging people to explore the Great Outdoors! Well done Adam!

As an avid visitor of going to National Parks with my family as well, I love the idea of creating something that encourages visits to National parks to a broader audience. I appreciate that you tied in your personal experiences with this idea, as it truly is one of the unique and beautiful experiences to be a part of. The randomization aspect is also helpful because we tend to usually only visit what is comfortable to us!

Something to consider for this app idea is making it a more integrative experience - whether someone could network and connect with others across the globe, or have the ability to catalogue / inventory their experiences at each national parks that they can reflect on (i.e. document notes, pictures, trailhead commentary).
