About this Project:

This app is to help our youth find specific jobs tailored to their skill sets. We wanted to make it locally for those in Brooklyn. We thought of this app because the current amount of job opportunities for young teens between 14 and over can tend to be limited or by a lottery based youth program, which the odds can be unfair. We want to be able to seek out other job opportunities for kids to have, providing an equitable chance for all.

Your pitch for the app focused on helping youth in Brooklyn find specific jobs tailored to their skill sets demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing a significant social issue.

Your app has the potential to empower young individuals by connecting them with job opportunities that align with their unique skill sets. By doing so, you are enabling them to gain valuable work experience and develop their talents, which can have a transformative impact on their lives.

Your emphasis on creating equitable job opportunities for youth is commendable. By bypassing the limitations imposed by traditional channels and lottery-based youth programs, your app ensures that every young individual in Brooklyn has a fair chance to access meaningful employment. This inclusivity promotes social mobility and breaks down barriers that may hinder the potential of talented young individuals.

Your app has the potential to foster community engagement by connecting local businesses and organizations with young talent in Brooklyn. By facilitating these connections, you promote a sense of unity and collaboration, encouraging businesses to invest in the potential of young individuals and contribute to the development of the local community.

The positive social impact of your app extends beyond immediate employment opportunities. By supporting the youth in their career development at an early stage, you contribute to their long-term success, financial stability, and overall well-being. This can have a ripple effect, as empowered and fulfilled individuals are more likely to positively contribute to society.

Overall, your app's focus on creating equitable job opportunities tailored to the skill sets of youth in Brooklyn demonstrates a strong commitment to social impact. By empowering young individuals, breaking down barriers, and fostering skill development and community engagement, your app has the potential to make a significant difference in the lives of the youth and the broader community.

Great idea that would help many youths find jobs in your local area. It would be nice to see the thought and design process behind this idea.

This is an app I wish I could have had when I was younger. It was so difficult to find a job when I was in middle and high school, so something like this would have made things so much easier for me. I appreciate that it is tailored to the skills of the user as this will help connect the potential employee with businesses who need their skills. This helps the user build a network, which is crucial for young people who are just starting out in their field. Many young people may not know how to get started in the job search process or what companies are even near them, so the hyperlocal focus is super helpful and important. Best of luck with the app!

The app is very good. The app has great interaction and the background fits with the topic and is good. But next time you should use more information. But overall a great app.
