About this Project:
This addresses issues dealing with mental illness, there are a lot of people dealing with many problems and issues in their life and many can’t talk to others because they are too scared or shy or whatever the reason is.
I came up with this because I have seen people struggle with this and I think that it is a great way to prevent people from feeling lonely or depressed and it can even help them think twice about doing harm to themselves.
If I were able to develop this, this would have about 8 pages where there is the home, and from there there can be selections to profile, chats, helpful quotes, bible quotes of motivation, notifications, posts from people's stories that relate to mental wellness, and stories that you have liked.

Feedback from the Judges:
Mindshift feels like a platform that can bring people together and create modern day pen pals! How fun! Great job creating your slides for the presentation and I'm very proud your team wanted to focus on the topic of Mental Health. Chat apps and forums being used to talk about mental health can be a difficult idea to plan with how open the internet is, I would love to hear more on how we will maintain Mindshift as a safe space for all users!
Other apps like Discord, which many users create dedicated servers for communities to come together and discuss mental health, tend to have a UI that encourages the community to work together, publicly, to build this safer space to speak freely. Along with the private chatting features of the program, exploring more into your idea of "posts from people's stories that relate to mental wellness, and stories that you have liked" would be a great step in the right direction!

Wow! Such an amazing project! I was really impressed with all the features you included, and that you spoke to future improvements you'd make if you had the time+resources. One point of feedback I'd like to provide; you may want to consider either excluding the bible quotes OR expanding to include other religions. You want to ensure your app is accessible and inclusive of all people who may be in need of your app. Otherwise, amazing job with your project, I was very impressed! Mental health is such an important conversation, especially since the pandemic, so this app can be and is very needed for youth today!
Your slides and video explain the need and your idea very well. Mental health is important to everyone and we all need support at times, so this issue is definitely worth thinking about. I like your idea of connecting people who are experiencing similar issues so they can talk about them. There are many different situations where people need to improve their mental state either immediately or over the long term, so I encourage you to keep thinking about what resources are available and how you could include them in your app. You might think about how users could describe the problem they are having so the app could direct them to the right resource or person to connect with. Nice work, and I hope you keep generating ideas on this topic!

I think this is a very important topic and something that isn't talked about enough, so this app is something that could really help lots of people. I would love to see this become an actual idea for the real world. Great explanation and design!
