Makes Me Think

Feedback from the Judges:

You are tackling an important global problem with this app! On a local level, I wonder if adding a feature for restaurants, hotels, or large event venues (such as wedding venues) to be able to create accounts and be able to make donations or have donation drop offs at community refrigerators? I hope you continue to develop this further!

I loved the way your app made me think about food insecurity, both on the local and global level. The app reminded me of Kiva- where it facilitated donations to a cause (in this case food insecurity). I liked that you had a hunger index and could choose the geographic area to help. I also thought that the page about food sources- food bazaar, local food banks, donation centers, food donation, free food and food shelters nearby was a great idea for the immediate need. Perhaps expanding that page and also getting local restaurants, supermarkets and other food sources to participate in local food banks (that could be located with the app). Well done!
