About this Project:

Our app, CoolDown, addresses bipolar disorder.
As we were thinking about different disorders, we came across bipolar and at that moment, we knew that it would be perfect to address in our app. We came up with our idea by research and that is when we realized a common factor of this disorder was the common mood swings and not having lots of healthy coping mechanisms–which our app.

Throughout our design process, there were many times where we weren't sure about things. It was all trial and error.

Feedback from the Judges:

I think this app design is extremely powerful. I enjoyed hearing the overview as to why the app was created, and being able to visually connect with how the app works. I really enjoyed the AI component as well. I had the opportunity to see this project in person at PS 207 school fair and this group pitch was very thorough and engaging. Great work students!

The idea is really nice and the concept seems very well define with quite a lot of details. Great Work, Well Done!

LOVED how thorough this wireframe was. Your board was also so neat, organized, and you can tell how much effort you put into it. It's clear you all did your research and learned a lot about bipolar disorder and the challenges people with it face daily. Excellent design, and I hope to one day see this app in the app store.
