About this Project:
CliqCommunity helps and encourages users by helping people create proper goals and utilizing social accountability to ensure one stays on task. There are 2 main parts: Goals and Groups. The Goals section is meant for people to create goals which they can assign to themselves or one of their friends. One way our app improves the goal making process is by creating goal templates to set a framework for specific, reasonable, and relevant goals. The Groups section is made to create social groups where members can help each other achieve their goals through advice, encouragement and keeping each other accountable.
Our team analyzed current popular productivity apps such as Todoist and HabitNow. We took note of the benefits such as increased organization and planning. However, we also noted negatives, such as the lack of accountability or incentive to stay on task. Finally, we thought of ways to fix these cons to create a better productivity app. It was decided to use social accountability through friends that will help reach a collective goal because it will promote community and learning. If there was more time to develop the appcomer we would tweak the UI design to make it more cohesive and complete. Also, we would add more features to the app to further distinguish ourselves from other messaging services and productivity apps.
