Chat Safely

About this Project:

Chat Safely will help prevent social interactions with online predators as it will allow a safe messaging app because the child’s parents will be able to view their online interactions. It would also filter any inappropriate and personal messages such as home addresses and credit or debit card information.

We chose to work on this issue because the younger and more naive audience may not see what someone is trying to do like if they are trying to deceive these children or manipulate them by trying to get their address and that stranger may want to harm them or take things that are personal and children may falls victims.

Our logo stands for chat safely as our app will be used for a safe messaging app where parents will be aware of their child’s online interactions and it will help prevent certain issues such as online predators that may want their location but the app will filter any personal information and delete it

Great concept with significant potential for positive society impact.
Social media is not a safe environment; an application that can improve personal safety is much needed.

Nice Job, recommend continue to develop the idea and application.

As a judge in this event, I must be aware of the work done and how the process was developed, as well as to provide meaningful feedback that might add value. Thus, I think your project nailed it regarding social purpose and impact. It's truly a great idea, in accordance with nowadays problems, and it would be very useful in avoiding further problems with the "predators". The pitch is great, totally understandable and clear. I would consider to develop more features in order to bring more social value to your product. And I would think if a report inappropriate conversation and/or user button could be handy. However, the design process was mentioned, the effort was good and your idea will open more doors to a brighter future regarding a positive online communication amid users. I'm proud of your work and I wish you the best of luck for the future.

This app is a good idea as it helps safe messaging and will allow filters in apps all around it would make sure your children are safe

i like the idea it is innovative and the presentation was well executed, i do have consructive critism as i should. when it says if filters inapropirate items what do you mean does i instantly delete it or send a confirmation email. if it deletes it can be bad for the parents for example they can be texting the bank about some thing important and they ask for your credit card and address as confirmation, but it may be annoying

I want to give a high-five and applause to the team who is working on creating this very important app which in the near future can become one of the most impactful apps in the world. This topic is very important to be brought to the forefront because many children and teens have already experienced being harassed by a predator/pedophile. Children and teens need to know that they have a voice and they must use it. They should never feel ashamed for speaking up about a predator and most importantly never feel afraid to report them to their parents and the police. Please keep working and expanding on this very important app/topic; keep giving children and teens the power to speak up and kudos to the team once again!

Really cool! This project is actually really useful because there are plenty of predators out there and they target children, and this way parents can have a better and easier way to protect their children. Job well done!
