About this Project:

My project addresses people's mental health with not only adults but students too especially when it comes to school. Often teenagers don’t take the time for their mental health because of school so a simple app you can use can maybe not relieve all your stress but at least make it better for you with just the lift of your finger in the comfort of your home. I came up with this idea because as a junior I found myself procrastinating alot and not taking mental health days because of school. This was very stressful and I fell behind alot due to other personal things I had on my plate. The way this will work is you can vent to an AI that will give you advice, the benefits from this is that it works fast, you have access to it whenever, and all you have to do is lift a finger. It may sound simple but often therapy is expensive and most teens are forced into therapy. This app allows them to make the decison for themselves if they want the assistance which is a vital component as an adult (making decisons by yourself). It will send you reminders, log your process so you can see how much your mental health has improved over the months/years.

I think the idea of having an app that helps people to take a mental health breather is a very good one. I'm very curious to see what you have designed for people so that they can take steps to address the issue for themselves. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to access these slides.

Your verbal proposal to using AI is an interesting solution to me! Stemming from your desire to give your peers agency in their decision making about seeking help, AND considering those that may not have health insurance or be able to afford therapyai does seems like a great tool for these concerns. Unfortunately the presentation slides were not viewable.
