About this Project:

This app helps to educate people that want to learn more about basketball teams. I discovered this problem a couple years ago when I started watching basketball more but I didn’t know enough about the teams and how the game worked for me to know who to root for during the games. I used app lab to create this app.

More About this Project

My project is an app that assists people that do not have a lot of knowledge on basketball or basketball teams. Or for people that like both teams playing and don’t know which one to choose. My app chooses a random NBA team and gives you a whole bunch of information about that team like the team name, location, logo, and how many championships they have won. This way you can find a team to vote for and not be completely lost while watching the game. It can also help you keep track on how your team is doing on the last page. Although, this app seems like a really random idea, I believe it could be useful to others. This issue is important to me because there are others out there that have felt the same way and do not know much about the sport. I wanted to make something that helps people learn more about the sport and the teams to become more interested in it like I did.

As someone who struggles with sports and related topics, I think this would be very helpful. Often it's the topic of conversation amongst people and ice breaker, I think this project would help folks who are new to this topic get familiarized with the game. What else you can improve is, provide details about the random team the app chooses for users and that way it can help the user feel more connected from the beginning.
