About this Project:

Hello! Our app was designed by Sophia, Zane, Banula, and Opemipo. We made our app at I.S. 27’s design club after school. Our app is called Artube. At Artube, people can share their art and music with the world. We came up with our idea because there are many artists who do not have a safe space to share their ideas or have no one that appreciates them.

Many people don't have a safe space to send their ideas online to other people. There are sometimes hackers and very, very rude people on multiple platforms, And no one wants to experience that at all. Our app is trying to make it very easy for people to share their ideas (art and music) safely to other people, and because of this Users will have a safe place to send their ideas to people because of our app Artube.

Our App has 2 options for our selection screen “Art and Music”

When the User selects one of these options you will be sent to this page where you can either watch others song or look at their art or create your own

When the user clicks on the community you will see the song recordings people send there of the art they made

The user can decide if they want to speak to your viewers you can go live and show songs your making or art

If the user were to check on their page you can pull up their profile and see what they post

Once the user selects the create button you will be able to edit your art or song with texts, effects, and filters

Once the user is ready to post you can add a title or description to your song or art

Also you can make a profile to post to the community

User can post anything they want on Artube anytime and anywhere

We designed our app using the two websites Mouse Create and Figma. First we drew our ideas, then brought it to life on the computer. We also used other websites to design other parts of our app, including our logo.

Artube will make everyone feel included and important!

Artube makes all our users feel included and appreciated, even when others may not accept them. Here people are part of a larger community where people can make new things, but also build connections. At Artube, we can create new ideas that can change the world!

Great teamwork creating a video to present your idea for ArtTube! As an artist myself, I love seeing how others approach creating a new platform for sharing and supporting all different kinds of artist! This project's idea is well timed with the current discussion on social media about how we create and share art. I would be interested to see how you would discuss accepting or combating AI art in your creative platform.

Creating a social media platform has the added challenge of planning what media and content you deem as acceptable or harmful, especially for an artistic platform which tends to highlight expression of the user. Luckily other artistic social media platforms have tried and trialed media management! ArtTube's focus on creating a safe space for artist is awesome and could grow from exploring the media management and terms/conditions on apps like Twitch, which focuses on providing unique creators a platform to stream to audiences, or a newer site Hive Social, which many digital artist have been using recently.

I like the concept of this app. People do tend to be so rude and judgmental when it comes to artists doing their thing. There is such "stigma" almost around being an artist and wanting to do that as a job or even just a hobby. Having a safe space will allow artists to share their work and hopefully connect with other artists and even fans who will lift them up and support them. Will artists be able to connect with each other and collaborate?

Thanks for sharing your idea and all the work in the design and presentation. There seems to be a large potential use community to contribute and a larger community with whom to share these original works.

As you iterate, consider how your app might do better or different than other sharing apps to keep this a safe space with positive comments, as this seems to be a harder challenge!

Your dedication to developing this was so impressive. Staying after school and watching you work every week was inspiring. This app is something that many artist young and old could benefit. It will build them up mentally knowing that it is a safe space to exhibit the work.
Keep working on this.
