About this Project:
Living in NYC, there are many types of challenges everyday people go through. One challenge a lot of New Yorkers face is the lack of access to healthy foods. AFFBY uses geolocation to help people find places or events that provide free or affordable priced healthy foods.
My students wanted to create an app that will help themselves and their families become healthier. They wanted to create an app that will understand their needs and the types of food they are looking for, all while keeping them in budget to live a healthier lifestyle.
In the app, you can create an account or log in as a guest. You will then be asked questions that will help AFFBY understand your needs and once you enter your location, AFFBY will generate a list of places or events that will provide you free or affordable healthy foods.

You are all incredibly compassionate! You've come together with this app to tackle such a meaningful problem in our community -- thank you. I love the way you support each other in your presentation and how the design of your app guides the user through simple questions to direct them to free and affordable healthy food. Especially thoughtful that you ask users about allergies and how they are traveling around the city. The welcome page is colorful and happy -- this is so important for apps. And the app name is perfect -- AFFBY! I will never forget the name.

I found the way in which the project was presented and how they came up with the idea extremely interesting and unique. The idea is very good, reveals a lot of social concern and confirms that the paper mockup, transformed into an app, would have a high social impact. I would like to see your idea further developed in the future as it certainly has potential. I really enjoyed your effort which is a basis for future achievements.
