“Stars Unite”

About this Project:

The challenge my project needs to address is probably layout issues and design and other aspects.

My design process came from people who struggle just like me. I wanted to help other people with their mental wealth and to be mentally healthy. This was the reason for creating the stars unite app.

The way my project works is by providing people with mental health (psychologically and mental being) providing and showing that their life matters and that they could reach out no matter what they are going thru in life.

Nice job Honesty and Brian!

I really like your app design, it's very user friendly.

Feedback: What separates your app from the hotlines and other apps available?

Very important issue and it is great that your app addresses it. I love the clean, inviting design with super easy navigation. For your next iteration you might think about how often a person should use your app. Daily? Weekly? If they use your app regularly, does it help them get more insight to improve their mental health? This idea has a lot of potential, it's just a matter of where you want to go with it.

Mental health is a huge issue so many face. I think you created a project that is authentic and personally driven, but also speaks to larger social challenges. You are not alone! And that's what's so wonderful about this project is that it seeks to connect people who need help with others who can provide that. I would love to see how you might expand on the kinds of help youth could access with this app. Perhaps in addition to hotline access there are also other resources, such as reading, links to communities or social organizations, or other areas of the app you would develop further eventually? Either way, such an important topic and your work draws attention to this in a way that raises awareness and also offers support, perhaps in a very critical moment. Great work!

Great job working on an issue so important to many people (mental health). I really appreciated designing the app centered on student's mental health and wellbeing. I also really appreciated the minimalist design, and the ability to text, videochat or call with a therapist right away.

One area of improvement could be to add a screen or two showcasing what the text and call user interface would look like, similar to the video flow box you have.

What a beautiful, friendly and caring app this is! I love the welcoming message so much "Welcome little comet" - and that you apply this space theme throughout your app shows great design-thinking and creativity. Good work, team!

I like that this project tries to tackle big issues like mental health. I struggle with this too and would honestly find this project really helpful.
