Skoobel Eats

About this Project:

This app, called Skoobel Eats, has a survey feature. This survey conducts a poll on what food the students want in the provided meals. Every other week, the results from this survey are recorded, and the most popular vote will be added to the menu replacing the least popular food.

Also, fresh food will be made for the students rather than being distributed in pre-made packages. This can preserve the taste of the food. We will also provide food from different cultural backgrounds to ensure that students from other cultures know they have a say in what they eat. The more we make students comfortable with what’s going on around them at school, the more at-home school will be.

Great work from all four students! These students took into consideration all possible users for this app which is extremely important when developing a successful user friendly app. This app can be very useful since some students have specific preferences with their meals. The students could even include a special feedback section inside the app to allow them to disclose any allergies. This idea can be incorporated into many schools and make lunch time a better experience for all students!

Your pitch has clear goals, and a very solid problem statement. Excellent job researching the topic!
Nutrition is an important issue, and I haven't seen anyone propose such a direct feedback-to-action solution before.

It could be interesting to think about how smaller minorities (who might not win the 'most popular vote') could still have their cultures represented as well.

Great idea and it raises a question that needs to be addressed. I have a middle-schooler who will not touch the school lunch which he says is "disgusting" so he would love this app. The only issue with school lunches is that they are not decided by the schools, the decisions come from the state so I would have liked to see something in the pitch that allows students to send letters to local congresspeople or state leaders who are responsible for this directly from the app. Something that will help this situation is directly petitioning the state government.

This is a great idea addressing a very real problem. Your pitch and presentation are clear, concise, detailed and do an excellent job in presenting the need and solution to this problem. There's also tons of room for improvement with expansion for dietary restrictions, using the data from multiple schools to increase diversity, and comments and feedback for the school and cafeteria! Great job :)
