Simulz

About this Project:

Simulz is a community-bound app which helps you get in touch with your community by letting you hire people around you so they can help you. By paying the people you hired they help you with your community services while connecting you with everybody around you. The reason we chose the word simul is because it means together in latin. We made this app to try to connect our community together and as a community we can work together and help each other through hardships.

Simulz started off on the drawing board for a idea along with many others until we decided that this concept was phenomenal idea and could branch off to many other ideas. Simul was our first name and we had many more names until we came up with SIMULz which was unique and had a nice ring to it. The idea first started off as just another version of fiverr but we could use your zip code to find jobs around you. It branched out to SIMULz MarketPlace, SIMULz credit, and much more.

We wanted to build this app to connect our community together. We decided that this app would specifically help out the times we are going through right now from covid and many more incidents. We really lost that community connection that everybody had with each other since covid and many loved ones died. We really hope that if this app was actually built then the people in the community could work together(Simul).

This is such a great project! I really loved learning about the backstory of how the idea came to be, and also thought your mockups were outstanding. It is clear the great value that your app would bring to different communities. Great work!

Wonderful idea! I see great potential - value for individual SIMULz app users and benefits for connecting people within a community. The premise of your idea is valid- people certainly have lost connections with each other and with their community during COVID. Your team is taking on an important and relevant challenge and leveraging technology in a positive way.

Your presentation was thoughtful and comprehensive. You really thought about the user experience and the features/functionality that users would need and value, including security, privacy, search filters, payment methods and messaging. The Premium feature is pretty brilliant! Users definitely value features like no ads, and customizable profiles as well as free posts and initial credits.

As you continue designing your user experience, application and perhaps business model (how you might make money from your app), here are a few questions for your consideration:
- What applications or services are the competition for SIMULz? How are people already selling services and products to others in the community?
- In what ways is SIMULz better than the competition? Or how will you improve on the current user experiences of existing marketplace and community applications?
- How might SIMULz help build connections in a community, above and beyond people selling to each other?

Hope you continue to build-test-learn on your SIMULz concept. You are off to a great start. Good luck!

Hi Team SIMULz,
Great project. Thanks for your explanation of the genesis of the idea and how it connects to trying to bring the local community together. Wonderful mock-ups and realistic User experience for this kind of app. The ratings and reviews are good and the tiering for membership is also a way for people to engage. I would ask what are some of the things that make your app unique. Some food for thought: What is the motivation for the other ways that people can get the services and products that you offer? How does this go beyond what your competition, like Fivvr or direct service providers (gyms, giftshops etc) in terms of the reasons why to choose to use Simulz.

What a fantastic idea for an app. Bringing people together and connecting them on a local level is very important. Frequently we need to bring in contractors or find local suppliers and this app would make it super easy! Great Job!

I love the concept of the app. It is really amazing and has many concepts that make it better.
It has lots of concepts that other apps would have combined. This fusion is amazing.
