Running for a cause

About this Project:

Our project addresses the difficulty of finding charity events and incorporating exercise into them. We came up with our idea because we realized the difficulty of finding charity events to participate in. Our group consists strictly of student athletes and we wanted to incorporate fitness into charity while making locating such events accessible for all people. Our project is an app in which you type in your location and then can locate charity runs and walks near you.

Love the idea of building a community through an app and this project executed this! I highly recommend that these students continue to work on this great and impactful idea.

Samantha, Jonathan, John, and Amelia - I love your "Running for a Cause" concept. Your storytelling around the problem statement and your design process were extremely clear and compelling. I am involved in corporate social responsibility at my company and we are constantly struggling to connect our people to volunteer events/runs that are always organized. Cannot wait to see future iterations of "Run with a Cause"!

I LOVE THIS !!! especially how you took your personal passion and expanded it to help others on so many levels. The thoughtful app make is easy for people to identify opportunities to contribute to causes. The focus on running/walking promotes a healthy lifestyle that many of us need inspiration for. I would definitely use this app and share it with everyone I know.

Thank you for a record-breaking 14th anniversary event! Comments are officially closed until next year.
