“Anime Selector”

A Game Design Project
By Jerell
Middle School Students from Games for Change @ Brooklyn College Community Partnership
Anime Selector

About this Project:

Jerell is a fan of Anime and is working on a game where you are randomly given a character and abilities from his favorite Anime's like Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball, and Naruto.

This project is a work in progress. We are in the early stages and are currently testing the randomizer feature.

Each time you open the game there will be a different anime path available at the last line of the 1st screen, reload the game (refresh link), and see for yourself!

Play an early version of the game here: https://anime-selector.glitch....

This submission is a great start, and I love the idea of a randomizing feature! For future iterations, try having a few different kinds of user flows to help engage users in more fun ways.

Good idea for anime viewers; maybe you want to think about a partnership with the creators of the anime series that will help immensely with the game content, keep up the excellent work!

I loved the way you made this project about your passion! I personally haven't watched that much anime, but I know some friends who have watched all these shows mentioned and more, so I’m sure they would appreciate this project. It was super innovative to make this game “choose your own adventure” style! Great idea and great work!

Ashley Smallwood 👏 Director, TC NEXT at Teachers College, Columbia University — Emoti-Con Judge
I like the idea of a randomized generator—I can see that being an engaging opportunity for users who come to the website. I'd love to see how this develops. What happens after I'm selected as naruto? How do I use the anime?

Keep designing from this cool idea!
