About this Project:
Our app, BreastWise, facilitates early breast cancer detection through self-examination while fostering widespread awareness and education on breast cancer. Furthermore, we employ an AI blood reader to assist our users in gaining deeper insights into their health. We conceived the idea with the aim of addressing the profoundly impactful issue of cancer affecting people worldwide. However, we knew that we could not simply solve cancer with an app. Therefore, we decided to primarily focus on breast cancer, the most common type of cancer. But how can you solve breast cancer with an app? We decided that even though we can not solve this intricate matter, we can aid in early detection and prospectively save lives. We conducted research, gathered information through a community survey, and conducted a competitive analysis to create BreastWise. BreastWise is an app that will provide you with constant updating information about breast cancer by utilizing current data and user input as well. With self-examination and education, Breastwise can contribute to early detection and save people their time, their money, and potentially their lives.

Feedback from the Judges:
I am blown away by the amount of thought put into the need, app, and design of this! Absolutely amazing. As someone that has a family history of breast cancer, I wish this app was available to me now. This definitely would help people easily track things and learn 'best practices' when it comes to breast health. Excellent job!
You've obviously put a lot of work into this project, well done! The reserach is solid and I love how you surveyed users in the beginning. Most importantly, getting feedback and making changes from what you learned is what design is all about. Storytelling was really great and I love the back and forth of the presentation. Kudos to you all!
WOW! I can see the huge effort and research that went into this project. BreastWise can potentially be a valuable tool for breast health awareness and management. I love how you thought of having reminders for self-examinations, medical appointments, and screenings based on user data and health history. I think you guys did an amazing job and I hope one day to see this app on the PlayStore ;)
